UFU statement on Glens of Antrim

The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) is saddened by the news that Glens of Antrim Potatoes has entered administration. This represents a significant loss for Northern Ireland’s agri-food sector, with the impact being felt by staff, growers and businesses across the supply chain.

Deputy President Clement Lynch said, “We will be seeking urgent meetings with retailers to discuss how they can prioritise locally grown potatoes and support our growers during this period. Supporting local produce is vital to maintaining a strong and resilient farming and food sector in Northern Ireland’
