Schools’ Day Booking – Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend 2026
Bookings are now open for the Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend dedicated Schools’ Day, Friday 12 June 2026.
Schools are invited to register their interest in visiting a participating farm by completing the booking form below.
Once your form has been submitted, requests will be reviewed and processed on a first come, first served basis. If your school is successful, you will be contacted directly to confirm your place and arrange a time slot. You will also receive further information to help you prepare for your visit.
Important information
- Transport must be arranged and covered by the school
- Visit slots are limited and capacity will vary by farm
- Completing the form does not guarantee a place, but ensures your school is considered
Schools are encouraged to complete the form as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Schools’ competition 2026: Foundation level (Nursery, Pre-school, Playgroups and Special schools)
Foundation level (Nursery, pre-school and playgroups): “Grow it, know it, eat it!” Pupils should decorate the picture “Grow it, know it, eat it!”
Schools’ competition 2026: Foundation (Primary 1, Primary 2 and Special Schools)
Foundation (Primary 1 and Primary 2): “Grow it, know it, eat it!”. Pupils should decorate the picture of “Grow it, know it, eat it!”, template and what products we produce in NI.
Schools’ competition 2026: Key stage 1 (Primary 3, Primary 4 and Special Schools)
Schools’ competition 2026: Key stage 1 (Primary 3, Primary 4 and Special Schools) – Pupils should decorate their farm shop front, including a name and explain what products/food they would sell in the shop to help NI farmers promote their high-quality produce.
Schools’ competition 2026: Key stage 2 (Primary 5, Primary 6, Primary 7 and Special Schools)
Schools’ competition 2026: Key stage 2 (Primary 5, Primary 6, Primary 7 and Special Schools) – design a mascot that could be created for the Ulster Farmers’ Union and Open Farm Weekend initiative to promote the theme “Grow it, know it, eat it!”. To help keep entries aligned with the theme “Grow it, know it, eat it!”, we encourage pupils to base their mascot designs around farm animals, crops or food produce commonly associated with farming. Pupils are asked to include a tagline / slogan and 150 – 200 word reasoning for design.
