Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) milk price index (MPI): 31.39ppl (was 30.88ppl) – Positive sentiments reflected in two consecutive weeks of rising returns for Dutch butter (up €130/tonne to €4480), whole milk powder (up €80/tonne to €3230), skim milk powder up €90/tonne to 2210) and whey powder (up €80/tonne to €680). GDT in New Zealand recorded a second consecutive increase with the all-product index up 4.6% to $2957 (after rising 2.7% at the last event). However, there is negativity on mild cheddar prices.
