Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) milk price index (MPI): 31.56ppl (was 31.95ppl) – GDT in New Zealand back 4.1% this week, where a 26% rise in product available since the last event attributing to the fall, reflecting rising milk volumes in New Zealand. Dutch dairy commodity prices showed an improvement since last week with butter up €20/tonne to €4370 and skimmed milk powder (food grade) up €30 to €2230/tonne yet rises based on very slim trading due to the holidays.
