The New Zealand Global Dairy Trade (GDT) event concluded with a 5.7% increase in the overall price index. With butter, cheddar, skimmed milk powder and whole milk powder all up. Butter was up 6.1% from $6,347/T to finish at $6,728/T. Cheddar Finished at $4,920/T up 4.3% from $4,736/T. Skimmed milk powder was up 9.1% to finish at $3,243/T up from $2,973/T and whole milk powder was up 4.5% from $3,706/T to $3,863/T.
On the Dutch (ZuivelNL) Market fresh butter, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder (food), skimmed milk powder (feed) and whey powder were all up. Fresh butter was up €200/T from €4,200/T to €4,400/T. Whole milk powder was up €50/T from €3,200/T to €3,250/T. Skimmed milk powder (food) was up €60/T from €2,480/T to €2,540/T. Skimmed milk powder (feed) was up €150/T from €2,430/T to €2,580/T and whey powder was up €130/T from €1,070/T to €1,200/T.
