UFU MPI: 39.17ppl (40.24ppl) – Dairy commodity prices fell this week. Despite the GDT Milk Price Index in New Zealand more or less remaining unchanged (down 0.1%), Dutch prices fell for all products, with butter back €300/tonne to €4600 and WMP down €150 to €3650/tonne.

UFU MPI: 40.24ppl (was 41.65ppl) – The New Year started with a two-point-eight percent slip in the GDT all dairy product index in New Zealand. Dutch dairy commodity saw butter slip back to €4950/tonne and Whole Milk Powder down to €3850/tonne from €3970. SMP and whey powder remained unchanged. Global market volatility has prompted some softening of demand for whole milk powder, particularly in China.

UFU MPI:42.41ppl (was 42.15ppl) – GDT index back 3.8% after two positive auctions, with WMP at $3246/tonne and cheddar at $4801/tonne. Dutch dairy prices slipped with butter at €5100/tonne and SMP €2780/tonne.

UFU MPI: 42.15ppl was 43.30ppl – Dairy commodity prices are a tale of two halves. GDT in New Zealand this week recorded its second successive increase in its all-product index, up nought-point-six percent, with small increases for cheddar, up one-point-eight percent to $4826/tonne and whole milk powder up nought-point-one percent to $3400/tonne. Dutch markets (ZuivelNL) saw butter back €150/tonne to €5450 and skim milk powder down €160 to €2810/tonne.
