UFU milk price index

UFU MPI: 37.45 (was 36.12). This week’s New Zealand GDT finished up 1.2%, reversing the 1.1% drop at the previous trading event. Whole and semi skimmed milk powders both finished up 1.2% ($3,605) and 4.3% ($3,847) respectively while butter saw a small fall of 0.3% ($4,740). Cheddar saw a decline of 3.7% ($3,925) following its 16.5% increase at the last trading event. 

 

On the Dutch (ZuivelNL) Market this week, positivity for milk powders was replicated. Whole milk powder increased €60/t to finish at €3,930/t and skimmed milk powder was up €100/t to finish at €3,420/t. Butter saw another decrease of €50/t finishing at €3,900 while whey powder was down €10/t to €1,650.
