UFU MPI: 36.52 (was 34.99ppl) – The New Zealand GDT event this week finished up 1.7%. Whole and skimmed milk powders were up 1.7% and 3.0% respectively. Butter had a smaller increase of 1.7%, compared with a 5.1% increase at the last event. Cheddar had a marginal increase of 0.2%. UK mild cheddar rose £100/tonne this week. On the Dutch (ZuivelNL) market reporting this week, butter continued its upward trend finishing at €6780/tonne, up €100/tonne. Whole milk powder was up €30/tonne while skimmed milk powder fell €10/tonne.
