UFU group manager retirement

One of our longest serving Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) group managers, Frances Ogilby, has retired from the North East Derry Group after over 30 years of service.

Frances started her UFU/NFU Mutual journey as office manager in the North Tyrone office in Strabane with Sam Martin. From there she moved to the North East Derry office in Coleraine on 2 September 1991 as assistant group manager and worked alongside Glen Kerr and Arnold McClure for a number of years. Frances had a brief secondment back to the North Tyrone office in 2000 for four months, where she worked alongside Wendy Kerr as the senior group manager.

Laterally Frances worked alongside William and Lynne in the Coleraine office and is well known to the farming community across the area during her career with the UFU and NFU Mutual.

Having made so many friends throughout her career over the past 30 years, Frances wasn’t able to thank everyone individually but would like to give a special mention to those customers who were loyal to her in her years as a group manager.  She will miss the friendly faces and the great chats she had with you all.

Frances officially retired on 30 September 2021 and is already enjoying having more time to herself, especially that Sunday evening feeling with no Monday morning ‘dread’!  We wish her all the best for her retirement and thank her for all the amazing effort she put into looking after her UFU members throughout her career.
