UFU cereals competition gets underway

The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) has launched its cereals competition for 2022. A highlight in the annual calendar, the UFU is delighted to get the competition underway again as it is a great opportunity for leading cereal growers across Northern Ireland (NI) to showcase their talent and celebrate the excellence within the cereals industry.

Commenting on the launch of the cereals competition UFU deputy president John McLenaghan said, “The cereals competition is a highly anticipated event for the UFU. We’re looking forward to receiving many entries from our members across NI and taking part in the judging process. The entries are a great representation of the high-quality cereals our farmers produce which are second to none. We’re immensely proud of the wealth of expertise we have here in the cereals industry and this competition helps us to showcase that beyond the farm gate.

“I would like to thank all our sponsors for getting behind the competition this year. Their support is key to the success of this competition, and it shows how committed they are to profiling our local cereal growers who work to world leading standards daily.”
