UFU and YFCU launch first agricultural conference

The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) in partnership with the Young Farmers’ Clubs of Ulster (YFCU), is delighted to launch their inaugural agricultural conference 2025, taking place on Wednesday 22 January at the Dunadry Hotel in Co. Antrim. This milestone event, themed “My Farm 2100: A Glimpse into the Future,” will gather farmers and growers together to look to the future of agriculture.

John McLenaghan, UFU deputy president and chair of the conference organising committee said, “Recent events have reinforced the importance of the next generation of farmers in Northern Ireland and we are delighted to have partnered with YFCU for this year’s agricultural conference which reinforces our commitment to nurturing future leaders in agriculture. This event promises to inspire, educate, and help equip attendees with the knowledge they need to drive positive change in the industry.”

The conference will feature an impressive lineup of keynote speakers including Jack Bobo, Rogier Schulte, Chris Elliott, Joe Stanley, and Abi Reader, who will explore critical themes such as food security, sustainability, and agricultural innovation. Delegates can participate in workshops led by experts, focused on emerging techniques and sustainable practices, as well as insightful panel discussions on the opportunities and challenges facing agriculture in the future.
