The Balmoral Show is always a highlight in the Northern Ireland agricultural calendar and 2019 looks set to be bigger and better than ever. One of the benefits of being a member of the Ulster Farmers’ Union is that you can purchase discounted tickets for the show. These tickets are still available to purchase at discounted rates from local group offices and UFU headquarters.

UFU President, Ivor Ferguson said, “We don’t always get the opportunity to be recognised for our hard work and the world class food we produce. Balmoral Show is the perfect opportunity to do this. We have worked closely with the Old Barn caterers to design a menu that champions each sector of agriculture and will be tailored to the time of day.”

“Above all we look forward, as we do every year, to meeting our members and there will be plenty to talk about – from the weather to Brexit,” said the UFU president.

This year our stand has been designed to promote the UFU’s food and farming education resource “Dig In!” which encourages pupils to learn more about food, farming, and the countryside. The UFU stand will also have a children’s zone where there will be plenty of fun and interactive activities on offer, such as milking the cow and a planting station. The Ulster Farmers’ Union schools competition, in conjunction with Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend, winning entries will also be on display.
