Rural Support can help

Rural Support: (0845 606 7 607)

Over the past 11 years Rural Support has continued to provide a listening and signposting service for farmers and rural families across Northern Ireland. Severe weather conditions, bureaucracy, family circumstances, poor health and financial difficulties often cause stress and anxiety. Rural Support has been able to respond by assisting in sourcing information and advice about farm payments, personal and business finance and debt, social security benefits, support for carers, mental health assistance among many other issues.

While farmers, families and rural communities face ongoing and often unpredictable challenges it is evident that Rural Support remains steadfast in its commitment to serving those who need support and assistance. The Helpline service has undoubtedly enabled individuals to source confidential advice and support.  Often in times of need or distress Rural Support has been able to follow up with face-to-face meetings, counselling, mediation, financial / legal consultation, mentoring and ongoing support.

If you are finding things tough over this winter period, the Rural Support helpline can provide you with emotional support.  The helpline (0845 606 7 607) is available from 8.00 am to 11.00 pm each day.
