IndiWoods is a woodland consultancy specialising in securing funding for farmers and landowners who wish to plant woodland or hedges on their land.
Based in Armagh, Carolyn Trimble, owner and Director, has over 20 years of experience working with DAERA and Forest Service grants and has 100% success rate with the Forest Expansion scheme, enabling her and her dedicated team to have planted over 2 million trees in Northern Ireland so far.
Carolyn is passionate about the creation of native woodlands and works directly with Irish nurseries to bring quality Irish provenance trees and hedging to her clients.
In 2021, IndiWoods Tree Shop was launched, supplying native trees, hedging and guards in smaller quantities for those who had smaller areas of woodland and wished to self plant. Last year we were able to supply Farming with Nature applicants who require mixed native woodland and hedging and specific guards, with advice on how to plant and DAERA specification all at hand. This one stop shop approach is efficient, economical and easy to use with Delivery throughout NI.
IndiWoods works with a variety of clients including private farmers and landowners, The Woodland Trust, Ulster Wildlife, The National Trust, the poultry industry, local businesses and local authorities.
IndiWoods is passionate about what we do and we love our job. We get to meet like minded amazing people who want to plant trees on their land. Every woodland is unique and has its own story. Whether small woodlands of 0.2ha to large scale planting over 50 ha and everywhere in between, each woodland is important and it’s making a valuable contribution to world we live in.
