The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) has been working in association with Emerald Isle Recycle (EIR) since 2006, promoting a comprehensive used plastic recycling service to the farming community.
The on farm collection service covers almost all types of farm waste plastic, providing a significant discount to UFU members. UFU members are charged a discounted rate of £35 plus vat per liner collected. To avail of this service members must first register with EIR by visiting www.emeraldislerecycle.com, downloading the new Registration form and Direct Debit mandate. New customers are subject to an annual fee of £35 plus vat, which includes a free collection / drop off of one liner of waste farm plastic. Any additional liners collected are subject to the costs listed above.
