All our used equipment refurbishments are completed to an exceptionally high standard in our workshop by teams of manufacturer-trained engineers and bodywork specialists. Our short-term hire department has expanded rapidly in the last few years, and – through the wider Briggs Group of companies – we have access to the largest fleet of hire equipment in Ireland. By offering free site assessments, we ensure the most appropriate and effective equipment is provided every time. Our machinery is maintained to the highest standards, and we continually invest in new equipment and product ranges. From warehouse trucks to forklifts, or scissor lifts to articulated boom lifts, we can manage our customers’ hire needs.
Our service department includes 40 engineers who are based either in our workshop, on the road, or on customers’ sites. Our in-house engineers provide dedicated customer support in our purpose-built workshop in Lisburn, while our team of on-the-road and on-site engineers deliver nationwide assistance for all the machinery we supply. We also offer an apprenticeship scheme that gives talented young engineers a supportive and friendly environment to develop their skills.
Our Training Academy is accredited by both the Association of Industrial Truck Trainers (AITT) and International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). We offer courses for all levels of operator, from beginner to experienced. Training is available in person and through e-learning.
Our instructors can provide training at a customer’s business premises or at our Lisburn depot, where we have practical training areas and classroom facilities. A new Training Academy is due to open on our Lisburn site in March 2024. This multi-million-pound investment will deliver one of Ireland’s premier operator training centres.
All our engineers and support staff receive regular technical training to ensure the safe use of equipment. They also take part in skills assessments to improve standards and help personal development, all fully supported by our safety and quality (SHEQ) department.
