Funds raised at the inaugural Arable NI 2026 event have been presented to Rural Support and Air Ambulance Northern Ireland, supporting the vital work both charities carry out across Northern Ireland.
Jointly organised by the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU), the Ulster Arable Society and the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), the event brought together farmers, industry experts and agricultural businesses for a day of practical demonstrations, innovation and knowledge sharing.
The organisers expressed their thanks to everyone who supported the event and helped raise funds for two charities that make a significant difference to individuals, families and rural communities.
Gyles Dawson, Director of Programmes at Rural Support, said, “Rural Support are extremely grateful to Arable NI 2026 for their generous donation to the farm support charity for Northern Ireland. Every pound raised directly enables us to provide continuous, free, tailored support to farm families across Northern Ireland when they need it most for the foreseeable future.”
Kerry Anderson, Head of Fundraising at Air Ambulance NI, commented, “Air Ambulance NI would like to extend its sincere thanks to the Ulster Arable Society, CAFRE, Ulster Farmers’ Union and everyone who contributed to this fantastic fundraising achievement.
“The generosity shown will help Air Ambulance NI continue delivering critical emergency care to patients across Northern Ireland and ensure that this vital service remains available when it is needed most.”
