UFU MPI: 34.29 (was 33.71ppl) – A positive sentiment from the New Zealand GDT this week, with the index up 2.8%, reversing the previous event’s 2.8% drop. There was a rebound for milk powders, with whole milk powder and skimmed milk powder up 3.4% and 1.4% respectively. Cheddar saw an increase of 4.1%. Positivity was echoed on the Dutch (ZuivelNL) market with all commodities increasing, apart from whey powder which remained stable at €620/tonne. Butter was up €110/tonne to €5720/tonne, whole milk powder up €150 to €3550/tonne and skimmed milk powder up €20 to €2300/tonne.
