The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) is pleased to announce that Surge Renewables, a renewable energy consultancy dedicated to providing domestic and commercial customers with access to renewable energy solutions, has become a corporate member.

Managing director Andrew Sands said, “We are delighted to become a corporate member of the UFU. Farmers across Northern Ireland play a key role in helping to generate renewable energy and the industry has only scratched the surface in terms of what it can do. We are looking forward to engaging with farmers through our new membership with UFU and strongly believe members will benefit from our products, which will also have a positive impact on the rural community.”

UFU corporate sales executive Craig Scott said, “It is a fantastic development to now have Surge Renewables on board as a corporate member. Specialising in solar panels, heat pumps and renewable energy, Surge Renewables provides a range of products that can support our members to branch into the production of renewable energy. The team have a wealth of expertise and can also help farmers if they have questions about the possibility of moving into this area of production.”
