UFU MPI 33.87ppl (WAS 34.27ppl) – Global dairy commodity prices are flat, with the GDT Index in New Zealand remaining unchanged this week, a reflection of traders thinking about the holiday season. But there was a slight weakening of dairy commodity prices at ZuivelNL (Dutch Dairy Board), with butter back €30/tonne to €4750. Market sentiment being driven by demand as opposed to supply but should this change, so too will the direction in price.
