The Ulster Farmers’ Union is delighted to announce that the winning entry of its ‘a farmer’s best friend’ Snap Sunday competition, as voted for by you, is the dream team – Shep, Kim and Bess. The image was sent in by Louise Skelly.
The three working collies make life on the farm so much easier and are very much part of the family! Shep (mainly black) is almost nine and a half years old and was rescued from the SPCA in Wexford as a young dog and has been with Louise ever since. Bess (black with more white) is a three year old and is so gentle with young lambs. Kim, (black, white and tan), is the newest recruit at only 18 months.
