
Throughout the week, Ulster Farmers’ Union representatives hosted on farm meetings with Mrs Hélène Duchêne, French Ambassador and Tonia Antoniazzi (Labour MP). Discussion centred on the importance of agriculture to the Northern Ireland (NI) economy and the opportunities and challenges of the NI Protocol.
On Wednesday (1 February), UFU deputy president William Irvine, UFU chief executive Wesley Aston and UFU parliamentary officer Alexander Kinnear met with Mrs Hélène Duchêne, French Ambassador on William’s dairy farm in County Armagh.
