The Ulster Farmers’ Union is proud to welcome IndiWoods as our newest corporate member.

Based in Armagh, IndiWoods is a woodland consultancy specialising in securing funding for farmers and landowners who wish to plant woodland and hedges on their land.

With over 20 years’ experience and a passion for native woodland creation, Carolyn Trimble, owner and Director of IndiWoods, can advise all UFU members on all Forest Service and DAERA funding grants available including the Forest Expansion Scheme and the Small Woodland grant scheme, both of which are due to open towards end of September for planting this winter.

Her dedicated and skilled team can also design, plant and maintain your woodland.

IndiWoods also has a successful easy-to-use online Tree Shop that supplies everything you need for all DAERA grants including native trees, hedging and guards for those of you who wish to carry out the work yourself.

IndiWoods owner, Carolyn Trimble, said, “IndiWoods are excited to be part of the UFU and raise the awareness of the benefits woodland can bring to your land and Northern Ireland.

“We have planted over 2 million trees so far in Northern Ireland and we are working on planting the next million.  With the recent launch of the Tree Planting Action plan, this is the best time to plant trees and there is funding out there to make this happen.”

UFU corporate sales executive, Craig Scott, said, “We are delighted to welcome IndiWoods as a UFU corporate member. Their expertise in sustainable forestry, woodland creation and environmental land management will provide valuable support and opportunities for our members as they look to diversify and enhance the long-term sustainability of their farms.

“With the recent launch of the Tree Action Plan, there is growing interest in how trees can deliver both environmental and economic benefits on farms. IndiWoods’ knowledge and practical experience will help our members explore these opportunities and make informed decisions that work for their businesses and the wider countryside.”
