The New Zealand Global Dairy Trade (GDT) event concluded with a 6.7% increase in the overall price index, marking the third consecutive rise. With butter, cheddar, skimmed milk powder and whole milk powder all up. Butter was up 8.8% from $5,314/T to finish at $5,773/T. Cheddar finished at $4,772/T up 3.8% up from $4,594/T. Skimmed milk powder was up 10.6% to finish at $2,874/T up from $2,615/T and whole milk powder was up 5.3% from $3,449/T to $3,614/T.
On the Dutch (ZuivelNL) market fresh butter, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder (food) and skimmed milk powder (feed) were all up whilst whey powder remained stable.
Fresh butter was up €50/T from €3,900/T to €3,950/T. Whole milk powder was up €40/T from €3,030/T to €3,070/T. Skimmed milk powder (food) was up €120/T from €2,170/T to €2,290/T. Skimmed milk powder (feed) was up €160/T from €2,060/T to €2,220/T and whey powder remained stable at €1,020/T.
