UFU MPI: 39.89 (was 39.90) – The New Zealand GDT event finished down 4.3% overall compared to the previous event. Butter, skimmed milk powder and whole milk powder were down whilst cheddar was up. Butter was down 2.5% to finish at $6,969 down from $7,144. Skimmed milk powder was down 5.8% from $2,756 to $2,620. Whole milk powder down 5.3% from $4,036 to $3,809. Cheddar was up 3.6% from $4,548 to $4,709.
On the Dutch (ZuivelNL) market, fresh butter, whole milk powder and skimmed milk powder (feed) were all down, skimmed milk powder (food) remained stable and whey powder was up. Fresh butter was back €360/T to finish at €6,460 back from €6,820. Whole milk powder was back €60/T from €4,100 to €4,040. Skimmed milk powder (feed) was back €30/T from €2,380 to €2,350. Skimmed milk powder (food) remained stable at €2,340 and whey powder was up €10/T from €930 to finish at €940.
