West Antrim winter programme is racing ahead

Members of the West Antrim Group are delighted to have returned to face-to-face meetings, joined with the Mid Antrim Group.  The November meeting was held in The Ramble Inn. After a really tasty breakfast, members thoroughly enjoyed listening to deputy president, William Irvine, who gave an informative presentation on a range of topics and challenges facing the farming industry, with a particular focus on TB. Caroline Doyle from Barclays attended the meeting and provided useful information and guidance on finance/farm accounts. A big thank you to William, Caroline and to The Ramble Inn.

In December, the competitive spirit of our members was highly evident at “Need 4 Speed Karting” in Doagh, where pulses raced in a high-speed contest.

The details of upcoming meetings are as follows:

  • Tuesday 07 February, The Electric Storage Co., venue Adair Arms Hotel, 8pm.
  • March, virtual meeting organised by HQ – details to follow.
  • Summer 2023, group event – details to follow.

It is very enjoyable and interesting for members to get together at our winter meetings.  It would be lovely to welcome new members.  If you would like to support the work of UFU and become a member, please phone our Group Office on 02825652773.
