UFU Watch — 2015 Joint Arable Conference Success

The 2015 Joint Arable conference held in CAFRE Greenmount was yet again a huge success.  The conference jointly organised by the UAS, UFU and CAFRE treated delegates to a number of excellent presentations from top industry speakers with Guy Smith, Vice President of the National Farmers Union as the key note speaker.

UFU Deputy President Ivor Ferguson commented on the success of this year’s conference.  He said; “The UFU are very pleased with the huge attendance at this year’s joint Arable Conference. The conference had an excellent line up of guest speakers, who focused on a diverse range of topics. This included practical papers delivered by arable farmers, research and technology focusing on soil management, grass weed control and the implications of forthcoming CAP reform. The very large attendance along with very positive feedback from delegates reflects the merit of this collaborative approach to the planning and staging of the conference and we hope to build on this success next year.”
