UFU Delegation Attend Anuga Trade Show

A delegation from the Ulster Farmers’ Union attended the Anuga trade show in Cologne, Germany this week.  Anuga is the worlds’ leading food trade show and is attended by 7,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries, many of whom are processors, wholesalers and retail traders.  The show provided UFU representatives with an opportunity to view Northern Irelands’ display on the international stage, lobby industry representatives as well as discuss marketing issues with both local and foreign processors.  With such a huge display of products from all over the world, this was an ideal opportunity for the UFU to examine the full extent of the global food market and assess the marketing capabilities of competing export nations.
