UFU attend meetings in Brussels

Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) parliamentary officer Alexander Kinnear attended various meetings in Brussels last week. Alexander also represented the UFU at the COPA COGECA Praesidium.

Discussions included the Windsor Framework and what it means for agriculture. The UFU raised outstanding concerns such as veterinary medicine importation, livestock movements from Northern Ireland (NI) to Great Britain, addressing the democratic deficit and how NI can be consulted about EU law applying in NI.
