Gen-Sys has been an Ulster Farmers’ Union corporate member for over a year and we thank them for their support.
Gen-Sys has since been acquired by ubloquity which is a digital livestock and provenance identification platform, that has been built for the agriculture sector to digitally record and register animals through a single trade window. Working in conjunction with on farm management systems, the platform is designed to create a single version of the truth.
The team at ubloquity is focusing on working with farmers, processors and supply chain members to secure the root of the national and international supply and export chain, by going back to the point of creation to establish a unique record of trust all the way through to the consumer utilising technology, people and processes.
Integrating with EID and independent labs for DNA and BVD testing, ubloquity’s team are working with government agencies and leading academic institutions to unlock value for the primary producers while removing administrative overheads. Working as a collective with certification bodies, industry experts and supply chain members, we are seeking to establish an agri centre of excellence in Northern Ireland to give our agri community a voice on the global stage, promote PGI status and support positive economic benefits from the farm through to the customer.
