The Ulster Farmers’ Union are supporting this year’s National Countryside Week taking place from Monday 29th July to Sunday 4th August. National Countryside Week is the Prince’s Countryside Fund’s annual awareness week with the aim to raise awareness and celebrate the values of the countryside.

The theme for National Countryside Week 2019, is focusing on the importance of isolated rural communities and the barriers to development that they face, with the Fund launching its 'Village Survival Guide'.

The UFU will be sharing posts on social media highlighting how the farmer looks after our beautiful green landscape, working to keep our environment safe, clean and green to conserve the natural habitats that exist in fields, hedgerows and rivers. Farmers remain custodians of the countryside and the scenery of Northern Ireland reflects how we farm.

Check out the UFU social media channels during the week to keep up to date with our National Countryside Week posts - UFU on Facebook (Ulster Farmers’ Union) and Twitter (@UFUHQ).
