The Anaerobic Digestion & Bioresources Association (ADBA) is holding a conference to examine the role of anaerobic digestion (AD) in the Northern Irish economy. The conference will take place at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Thursday 5th October.

A key theme of the event will be how Brexit might impact the AD industry in Northern Ireland.

UFU Senior Policy Officer for Rural Enterprise, Chris Osborne will be attending the conference and will chair the afternoon session on improving plant performance.  The UFU’s Chairman Rural Enterprise, Gary Hawkes will also be at the conference and he will take part in a panel discussion on the day. 

The conference programme covers a number of topics, policy issues and trends specific to the Northern Ireland AD industry, including advice on how to:

Increase your overall revenue by ensuring that your digester is performing to its full potential.
Maximise biogas yields derived from farm waste by managing your agricultural feedstock.
Improve your nutritional management of digestate to reduce your fertiliser costs.
Stay updated with policy and regulatory changes in Northern Ireland, influence policy and ensure the longevity of your income.

The conference will also examine the impacts of the new UK Government, and trade between North and South in Ireland. Discover how these key issues will impact the future of the industry in Northern Ireland and the region.
