UFU Training Division - training dates

The Ulster Farmers' Union has officially launched an in-house training division with courses designed specifically to help members in the day-to-day running of their farms. UFU members will save 20 per cent by doing this course through the UFU training division.

Four courses are on offer initially:

Safe use of pesticides
Boom Sprayer (please note - Safe use of pesticides must be completed before booking this course)
Hand held Applicator (please note - Safe use of pesticides must be completed before booking this course)
Rodent Control

However, any Lantra course could be offered at short notice if there is sufficient interest. If members have a particular need for a training course, please get in touch to let us know.

The courses will be delivered initially in six locations: Armagh, Dungannon, Limavady, Ballymoney, Banbridge and Enniskillen.

The training will be co-ordinated by Countryside Services Limited (CSL) with all training provided by Lantra approved instructors. Members are able to book and pay for training through the UFU website or by calling Countryside Services on 028 877 89770.

Having a UFU membership is a very prudent investment. Members have access to a highly motivated team who are fighting for the best results that can be obtained to help our farming business.

We used the BASC pest control scheme to get rid of a rabbit problem we had. It was free through our UFU membership and was a great help as it saved me the time and money having to get rid of the rabbits myself.
