The UFU is in regular contact with the NI Food and Drinks Association (NIFDA) and other meat processor representatives. They are still reporting that normal activity has resumed. 

Testing of workers in processing plants is underway and the situation is continually monitored. 

At its peak there was an absenteeism of around 12% across all processors but plants are reportedly operating at 100% output through redeployment of staff resource. 

However, there is generally no further scope for any further labour force decrease will impact on output.
